You’re trying your best to stay healthy, so why does it still feel so hard?
Let’s be honest — healthcare doesn’t always make it easy to feel your best.
You do your best to stay healthy, but sometimes it still feels like something’s missing.
That’s not your fault — our system wasn’t built with every body, or every challenge, in mind.
Here are some of the most common struggles my patients share:
You’re doing “everything right,” but still feel off.
You take your meds, eat as well as you can, go to your appointments… yet fatigue or pain still linger. It’s frustrating when no one seems to look at the full picture.
You’re not sure which screenings or tests you actually need.
Preventive care can be confusing, and most doctors don’t take time to explain what matters most for you. You deserve clarity and a plan that fits your health history.
You want to make lifestyle changes, but need something realistic.
Between limited energy, time, or mobility, “eat better and move more” just isn’t helpful advice. You need personalized steps that actually work in real life.
You wish your care felt more collaborative.
You want to be an active part of your health decisions, not just a name on a chart. You deserve to feel heard, respected, and empowered at every visit.
That’s where I come in.
I bring together 25+ years as a family practice physician and my lived experience with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease to make healthcare feel more human, accessible, and hopeful.
My Personal Action Plan helps you take charge of your health in three simple parts:
🩺 Screenings
Know what to ask for and how to get the care you deserve (no more second-guessing yourself in appointments).
🌿 Lifestyle
Build realistic, doable habits that fit your body and your life, not the other way around.
💬 Advocacy & Self-Management
Learn simple ways to speak up for your needs and feel supported every step of the way.
Let's Take the First Step Together

Book a free 15-minute consultation where we’ll talk about your current health goals, what’s been getting in the way, and what kind of support could actually help.
This call is a simple way to see if working together is the right fit for you.
If it is, the next step will be creating your Personal Action Plan, a one-on-one session where we design practical steps for your screenings, lifestyle, and self-advocacy.
There’s no pressure or commitment. It’s simply a chance to ask questions, get clarity, and start moving toward better health.
You don't have to do this alone — I've been there too.
My Story
Hi, I'm Dr. Dixie "Dee Dee" Kidd, a family practice physician with over 25 years of experience in correctional, bariatric, and urgent care medicine. Alongside my clinical work, I serve as a health coach, helping patients with disabilities navigate the often-overlooked world of preventive health.
I live with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and wear braces on both legs, which gives me a deeply personal understanding of the barriers many of my patients face. My own health journey has shaped not only how I practice medicine, but why I do it—inspiring my passion for making healthcare more accessible, inclusive, and empowering for everyone.
Outside of work, I have an awesome supportive husband and I'm the proud mom of three college students. My daughter is a triplet, and we carry forward the love and memory of her two siblings we lost. I am kept busy and endlessly entertained by my three beloved dogs, who bring humor and joy to my everyday life.
The most powerful medicine is the kind that prevents disease before it starts.
My career and personal experiences are woven together by a simple but powerful belief:
Through my work, I'm committed to bringing health, healing, and hope—to my patients, my family, and myself.
