I’m Dr. Dixie “Dee Dee” Dennington Kidd, a family practice physician with 26 years of experience in correctional medicine, bariatrics, urgent care, and preventative health. Living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, I understand the unique challenges patients with disabilities face. This personal journey has fueled my commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and advocating for accessibility in healthcare.
As a dedicated health coach, I empower disabled patients to develop personalized wellness plans tailored to their needs, focusing on effective preventative strategies and lifestyle management. My goal is to create an inclusive environment where individuals feel heard and motivated on their path to optimal health.
Outside of my professional life, I cherish my role as a mother to three college students and find joy in the company of my three dogs. My experiences shape my practice and deepen my empathy, reinforcing my dedication to health, healing, and hope for my patients and my family.
